We have had the tunnels and stepping stones to explore.
We used our gross motor skills to balance, crawl, climb and walk.
Wow, look how clever we all are !
We also used all our senses when experimenting with the jelly.
We patted it
We tasted and squeezed it
Some of us got in !
We poked our fingers in
We also liked to scoop up the jelly and fill the beakers up then tip them out again.
We have also taken advantage of the lovely weather and been out to the park.
Weeeeeeeee !!
Push me higher !!
Out in the garden we have been exploring the water.
We especially liked to splash and get all wet
Equally, we liked to climb up the slide and go down all by ourselves.
And play in the mud kitchen making lots of yummy things !
We also have had the trampoline out !!
We took turns, and practiced our jumping.
It was very fun !

In panda room we have been
Exploring the boxes, tubs and tubes.
We really liked to fill and empty the boxes
We also enjoyed making lots of noise by banging the tins with our hands.
We have also been using metal objects to make a sound line.
We used metal and wooden spoons to bang the metal objects.
It was very noisy at times !!!
The play-doh was great fun.
We explored it by picking small bits off at a time.
Also by using the tools such as the cutters to make lines and shapes with.
The blue gloop was also a hit with the children.
They explored it by scooping it up with their hands and watching it mold into different shapes onto the tray.
Also they particularly liked to lift the gloop up off the tray and watch it fall making patterns on the tray.

Making a pond
We really enjoyed looking at lifecycles and decided that we would make a pond for Frogs to live in.
We found one of our tough tubs and put stones for the frogs to sit on when the want to get out of the water.
The children added some mud for the bottom of the pond.
They used their big muscles and transported the mud from the bark area in to our pond.
Once the children had decided that they had enough mud they did some fantastic team work and added the water for the frogs to swim in.
We did get a little wet as it was fun to splash the
water on the side of the tub.
We added some bubble wrap to our water as it is very like frogspawn.
We talked about frogspawn being eggs and very jelly like.
We then looked at the next step. Tadpoles and we all tried to move like a Tadpole by wriggling very fast.
We talked about how the Tadpole grows legs and their tails get smaller and we looked at frogs.
Look I found one!
We had a lot of fun playing in our pond and learning about Frogs. Maybe some of the children have shared different parts of the frog lifecycle with you.
