Practicing our physical skills on the soft play.
The ladies put it together so we had lots to do
We balanced on the cubes
We sat on the cubes
We climbed over the cubes
But most of all....
We really enjoyed going through the hole
It was quite tiring !!
We have also been exploring the bubbles and water.
The ladies hid some pretty stones in the water for us to find.
We also liked to splash the water and watch the bubbles fly everywhere.
Oh no !!. The ladies are blowing the bubbles at us and saying "Its snowing".
We all also liked to swish our hands around in the water to create more bubbles.
Then it was harder to find the pretty stones !!!
Once one of us had got in the rest of the children followed and we all got covered in bubbles.
It was much easier to find the pebbles once we all got in the tray.

Healthy Eating and Healthy Living
This week, we have been exploring what it means to eat healthy. We have made our own version of the Healthy Living Campaign by the government... ta-dah!
The children looked at the different fruits and vegetables.
We explored the textures, smells and tastes of our different foods. We paid close attention to the details, the different characteristics of each fruit or vegetable and which ones we think are our favourites.
A bit of still-life painting is in order, we think!
We peeled some garlic and Brussels sprouts. We got absolutely hooked on peeling those lovely onions... did you know these have shiny skin underneath? Four children peeled a total of ten white onions, two red ones, and a whole garlic! The smell covered the whole room, and the chefs were more than pleased with our efforts... you're welcome!
We couldn't help ourselves, after just a few minutes of counting them, we just had to eat the tomatoes and juicy carrots! It was really funny because when we washed the carrots, some water left-over from the leaves sprinkled onto us!
Now for a spot of cooking... measure the ingredients carefully, children!
Oops... there goes the pineapple! A delivery truck is driving away with it!
Healthy Living means eating good food, getting plenty of exercise, fresh air, healthy habits and lots of friends working and playing together!
Next week, we will be mostly exploring the colour
Blue!

Welcome back to nursery
Welcome back to Nursery
We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas. The children are busy telling us all about their Christmas and the presents that they were given.
We have been looking at emotions and how we are feeling using our emotion faces.
We have been trying to remember to sign ourselves in by putting up our pictures.
We are practising putting on our coats and we are getting very good at it.
Look I've done it!!
We are practising putting on our own shoes too.
We drew pictures of what we got for Christmas.
We looked at weather and explored our insta snow.
It felt very strange
We painted storm clouds.
We made new playdough and enjoyed making cookies with it.
We used the magnetic shapes to make pictures.
I've made a picture of a lady and a boat
We have been using the computer to draw pictures.
Nativity Play 2013
ABC Nativity Play 2013
All the weeks of practicing our songs, actions and lines have paid off... our Nativity Play was a great success!
The children worked hard to make our background and props. Towards the end, the children were the ones who set up the places for the rehearsals for the whole cast. Clever children
Here are our cast members getting ready for the presentation.
Props, costumes, places, everyone!
"Do not be confused! What would you like, the good or bad news?"
"I love good news," Mary did say.
"There's a problem, you see. It won't be easy... peasy. I told you!"
"You will go on a donkey, the ride will be slow.
So get ready, get steady, and away we go."
"Just a stable, I hope you don't mind. It smells a lot!"
"We love good news!"
The Three Wise Men brought gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Thank you, dear parents, friends and families for your continued support!
