The Cheese Show and Party!
The children held their very own annual Pepper box Nursery Cheese Show and Cheese Tasting Party! There were seven different types of cheeses that the children were keen to sample (along with crackers and refreshments, of course!), and, when they finished snacking on our lovely cheeses, the children were asked to take one little counting bear and place it near the cheese that they feel is the best-tasting to them. Most of the children "voted" for the one they liked and the adults tallied the results.
The overall winner is the all-time favourite: the Red Leicester! The next in line was a the Cheddar. The third placers are a triple tie with the Brie, Cranberry Wensleydale, and Feta Cheese.
Awarding was made by the children using our numbers 1, 2 and 3 blue ribbons. Well done, everyone!

Travelling by sea/water in Panda room.
Last week was travelling by sea/water week.
We picked our own colours to make marks with.
And made lots of random marks on the paper
Equally, we explored sea creatures in the water and bubbles.
We had to find some of them as they were hiding under the bubbles.
There were fish, whales, sharks, octopus, turtles and jelly fish.
We also explored floating and.sinking using pebbles and corks.
We enjoyed collecting the pebbles and putting them on the side.
We also collected the corks.
I liked to count them once i had given them to an adult.
The shiny pebbles were the best, it made a big splash when dropped into the water.
We took the boats, pebbles and shells outside and explored them with water.
We liked to push them across the water.
Also we scooped up the water using shells, and explored their shape, texture and weight.
