Visit from the Veterinary

We had a visit from two lovely Vets Julia and Leanne!

Nurse Julia brought her poorly doggie and the children had a chance to put a bandage on his leg.
The cone stops the dog from scratching or biting his stitches off.
The children matched the food with the pet.
Our thank you card for Veterinary Nurse Julia

We even got to meet, pet, stroke and groom a lovely black dog named "Smudge".

Vet Nurse Leanne with her pet rabbit

Look at the size of her!

Can you hear my heart beat with this stethoscope?
Uh-oh... there might not be
any heart beats
from that end!

Are there any treats for our little doggies?

The children also sorted the dog biscuits by shape and colour, putting them into pots and counting to make sure each pot has the same number!

Exploring Light during Bonfire Night

What a great time to have a bonfire! Let's see...

rocks... check!
chairs... check!
hula hoop... check!

fire leftover birthday candles... check!
Oh, and of course, plastic food... check!

Indoors, the children gathered some torches, phones, light balls and a flashing crystal to use inside the Dark Tent.

We had fun painting fireworks for the display!!!

We used our hands and got really messy!!

We also looked at what was being blown by the wind.
                                 Ribbons !!
The Windmill... (it went round and round really fast)

These two children also pointed to the leaves on the tree and their hair.
                                  Exploring I.C.T. Equipment

I like to sing and listen to the sounds
I like to press the buttons to achieve different sounds and lights.

I like to talk to lots of people on the phone saying "hiya" and "bye bye".

We also got very messy by painting using our hands, sponges, rollers and paintbrushes.
We used these lovely paintings to make Autumn leaves.

Here we are playing with some real Autumn leaves!!!

We found many uses for them.....

Wearing them ....
                                                                           Kicking them.....
Walking on them..... ( I liked hearing the crunching noises)
                              Throwing them in the air!!!!
And ... for hiding my favourite teddy in ( can you spot him?)
